NEXT STEPS
At Oak Grove Baptist Church, our mission is simple yet profound: to know Jesus and to make Jesus known. We are committed to helping you follow Christ daily and deepen your relationship with Him. Whether you're just beginning your walk with Jesus or have been following Him for years, we strive to equip you to live out your faith and share the gospel with the world around you. Together, we aim to glorify God, love one another, serve our community, and make disciples of all nations, advancing the kingdom of Christ wherever He leads us.
As your relationship with Jesus deepens, so too do the opportunities at Oak Grove Baptist Church to encourage and equip you for the journey ahead. We are committed to walking alongside you, providing resources, teaching, and community to help you grow in your faith. Whether through Bible studies, ministry teams, or personal discipleship, we seek to support you as you become more like Christ and are equipped to make Him known to others.

Begin a Relationship With JESUS
If you have recently made, or are considering making, the life-transforming decision to repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, we would be honored to pray with you and celebrate this vital step in your journey of salvation. We invite you to watch this video and contact us if you have any questions or want to speak with our pastor. We are here to support you as you begin to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ, walking with you in the process of discipleship.
"Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." - Romans 10:9-10
Get Baptized
After making the decision to follow Jesus, the next step is to publicly profess your faith, and one of the most important ways to do this is through baptism. Baptism is a powerful and symbolic act that represents our identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, as well as our turning away from our old, sinful life and embracing the new life we have in Him. We offer regular opportunities for baptism as part of our commitment to help you take the next step in your walk with Christ.
"And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." - Acts 8:36-37

Attend DISCOVER New Members Sunday School Course
Throughout the year, we offer three to four opportunities for guests and prospective members to attend our Church Membership Course. We invite you to join our Pastor and other Oak Grove leaders for engaging and thought-provoking discussions rooted in God’s Word as we answer the important question, "Why does church membership matter?" In this course, you will learn about the history of Oak Grove, our core beliefs, potential areas for ministry service, and much more. This is a great opportunity to explore what it means to be part of our church family and how you can get involved in our mission.
Join a GROUP & Get SERVING
Following Jesus is not a passive endeavor; it requires active participation in His mission. The Christian life is not meant to be lived in isolation but within the context of biblical community, where we can grow in grace, deepen our understanding of Scripture, and serve one another in love. We invite you to engage in one of our Bible study groups or ministry teams, where you can contribute to the life of the church, grow in your knowledge of God’s Word, and fulfill the Great Commission. Together, as a body of believers, we are called to make disciples, advancing the gospel and living in obedience to Christ.

At Oak Grove Baptist Church, we believe that every member of the body of Christ has been gifted for a purpose, and there are countless opportunities to serve. Whether you desire to join the choir, serve in the kitchen, set up for events, attend a Sunday School class, play an instrument, care for shut-ins, serve in the nursery, or contribute your gifts in another area, there is a place for you to serve. We are committed to growing together in our relationship with God and one another, and we invite you to join a ministry group and actively engage in our mission. Here, everyone is valued, and together we work to fulfill the call to love and serve as Christ has taught us.
