It's so much more than just music at Oak Grove...
Our goal each week is to lead church members and guests to glorify God by worshiping Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth. We are always striving to create a multi-generational and blended worship environment featuring great hymns of the Christian faith as well as the latest worship anthems. More than just music, worship is about exalting our great God, maturing in our own understanding of His Word, and being drawn into a more intimate relationship with the Heavenly Father through His Son. Worship is giving God the glory in every circumstance and in every season of life. And you can get involved today!
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord with a sacrifice of praise as we lead Oak Grove Baptist Church to worship her Savior each week. Join anytime of year and participate in weekly worship services, special holiday cantatas and more! Our choir is open to members and guests who are at least 14 years of age which means the "Greying of the Choir"need not apply here at OGBC. Sure, we have older members who have served and led in our worship ministries for generations, but we also encourage young singers still in their teens to step up and sing out!
Practice with us on Wednesday evenings from 7:10-8:15 PM
and Sunday mornings from 8:00-8:45 AM
PRAISE TEAM & BAND
If you play a musical instrument, aspire to lead our choir and congregation as part of the praise team, or have experience leading in corporate worship, we'd love for you to be a part of this group. We are currently welcoming new members and hopeful to expand our existing praise band with a greater variety of instrumentalists and singers.
New weekly practice times coming soon!
Rehearsals on Sunday mornings from 8:00-8:45 AM
Our team of A/V volunteers is absolutely crucial to facilitating worship at Oak Grove Baptist Church providing technical support during services. And we need more crew members to operate and mix our digital sound board, advance our computer presentation software, record & produce worship services, institute live-streaming, and more as we continue to update our systems and ministries. Maybe you'd just like to learn a new skill and get involved with this technical aspect of church life - well, join this team and get involved!
Please contact Noah Carroll (Director of Worship) or Carl Arnold through the main office to discuss current worship needs
Often overlooked, our team of greeters plays a vital role in ushering guests, greeting members and visitors in the parking lot and at the door, directing traffic, answering questions with a smile with an ever-helpful hand, as well as providing security for our facilities during worship services. You may not desire to be in the spotlight during worship, but behind the scenes, our greeter ministry volunteers are genuine superstars and we need YOU!
