Although this ministry is greatly subsidized by Oak Grove Baptist Church, there is a nominal registration fee (per child) which helps offset the annual cost of curriculum, t-shirts, awards, and more. As this is a ministry-first program, scholarships are available and absolutely no one will be turned away from participating in our clubs. CONTACT US for more details.
The goal of our GroveKidz Clubs is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ partnering with their families to build a foundation for lifelong faith. We provide a fun, engaging approach to learning and remembering God’s word through exciting Bible-centered games, daily devotions, service opportunities, Scripture memorization, small groups, and mentoring relationships with godly and caring leaders. At Oak Grove Baptist Church, Word of Life serves as a primary discipleship program for kids whereby children are trained to encounter the Lord, hide God's Word in their heart, and work as teams all the while inspiring confidence and providing spiritual direction in a fun & loving atmosphere.
OGBC offers two GroveKidz age-appropriate components led by some of the greatest teen and adult volunteers you're likely to find anywhere!
Preschool & Kindergarten
**must be potty-trained**
Gopher Buddies' lessons teach foundational truths of Scripture so that children, ages 4-6, can begin to develop a basic understanding of Scripture. Every lesson includes parent resources to encourage meaningful follow-up between parents and their children.
(Elementary) Grades 1-6
Envisioning the Christian life as a race, our Olympian program features the Olympic theme and urges children to “go for the gold” in their pursuit of godliness. We provide the resources, training and encouragement for leaders to guide children in forming essential spiritual habits. Parent resources are also built in to help parents take a step into true discipleship with their own children.
