Oak Grove Baptist began to reach its arms out to the Arizona Reservation Ministry about 5 years ago in a mission project initiated by one of our youth members. A long term commitment was made to support the Indians of San Carlos Reservation in Arizona through donations and other events with the Arizona Reservation Ministry. Our first opportunity with this organization was to provide blankets that were made from donated materials and made by church members.  About 160 blankets that were given out to the children for Christmas made by Oak Grove members. In April of 2014  a “Showers of Blessing” for mission was held.  About $800 in Gift cards were donated and with Satan playing around, the cards were lost in the mail but God prevails and they were reissued and resent resulting in a timely receipt when they were most needed at school supply time.  It seems that Oak Grove blesses the ARM with the right amount at the right time when this mission experiences unexpected financial shortfall.  The gifts arrive right on God’s time, year after year.  Critical expenses as gasoline, utilities and insurance are part of what is covered by mission funds.  Our blessings to ARM allows them to continue to build homes for families in need. Donations that are of even greater value are the funds given through their general budget which provides salaries for those of the San Carlos Apache Nation who labor for the Lord on behalf of their People.  Please pray for the Lord to increase the number of regular partners who practically provide for such a significant need.
